Regional Focus: Heathcote and Max’s Garden

Two Hands Wines ranges far to capture the remarkable diversity of Australian Shiraz, and no farther than Heathcote, source for Max’s Garden Shiraz. It’s the winery’s lone Garden Series wine from outside South Australia and while it requires a plane trip and a long car ride to get to the vineyard, Heathcote’s unique regional character allows Max’s to stand apart from its Garden Series brethren. “A lot of the wines we have made over the journey have been full power, more robust, and then we have this lovely little thing in the corner that is just so delightful,” Proprietor Michael Twelftree says. In this video, Michael shares his enthusiasm for Heathcote, the winery’s longtime vineyard partners in the region, and what he calls “the most elegant wine in the Garden Series portfolio.”
